- donation from Dutch foundation Stichting Den Brinker
- donation from Dutch foundation Stichting TakaTuka Foundation
- anonymous donation from the Netherlands
- donation campaign via Dutch website Geef.nl: revenue EUR 1,085.
Except for necessary expenses (website + bank account) donations are fully used for the project.
Progress
The project started on December 21, 2021 and will last one year. After that, activities are continued until female circumcision has been abandoned in all of the 10 villages.
We will keep you updated on the progress of the project on this site.
This mother, who is a midwife in Kati, says: "I saw the damage female circumcision does with my own eyes. I only have boys, but if I get a girl, I will not have her circumcised. No way! I think Mousso Dambé is doing good work."

Dutch project partner
Just like with our previous projects, Dutch NGO 'The Wilde Ganzen Foundation' supports financing of this project. After collecting the largest part (two thirds) of the needed funds ourselves, The Wilde Ganzen Foundation will complement the final third of the needed funds.
Funding
The funds we collect comprise of the following parts:
- donations
- a donation campaign via Dutch website Geef.nl.
Except for necessary expenses (website + bank account) donations are fully used for the project. If we receive more funds than needed, we can include another 5 villages. This costs EUR 14,000 extra.
Progress
We will keep you updated on the progress of the project on this site. Considering our successful projects in 2022 (8 out of 10 villages ended FGM) and in 2024 (all 5 villages stopped FGM), we have high hopes for this new project.
